Director, Business Development

Hamed Reyhanfard joined Polaris in 2024 bringing his 15 years of experience in business  development, commercial & sales, and investment in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries in the US and other global markets in the MENA regions. During his time at Polaris, he has managed the business development department and made potential partnerships with pharma companies in Europe and Middle East regions. Prior to joining Polaris, Hamed served as Director of Business Development with two biotech companies, ReviveMed as an AI-driven drug discovery platform in oncology and Chimeron Bio as saRNA technology platform in Immuno-oncology therapeutic area. Hamed also served as the BD manager with oncology & immunology business unit at Janssen Pharmaceuticals (Johnson & Johnson group).

Dr. Reyhanfard has two years of experience in fundraising served as the Director of Investment with a private equity firm in New York and led fundraising for biotech companies with angle investors, family offices, ventures and sovereign wealth fund with billion dollars AUM in Asia and MENA regions.

Dr. Reyhanfard received his Doctor of Pharmacy in 2011 from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, and his MS from Georgia State University in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. Along with his scientific education, he received his MBA in the management program at St. John‘s University in New York.
